Kamashi Otake Profile

Kamashi here is my first ever fully original character not related to any pre-established fandom. First conceived him back in 2009 along with the Oni Slayer universe.

Species: Human

Personality Traits: Kind-hearted, noble, brave, headstrong, stubborn, caring, fierce and protective of those he loves, compassionate, determined, loyal and cheerful.

Occupation: Slayer and High School student.

Likes: His friends, helping others, training to get stronger, samurai stuff,  kendo practice, when people don’t give up on their dreams, seeing people happy and protecting the human world.

Dislikes: Evil, rude or self-absorbed people, killing without reason, when people are mistreated or miserable, being unable to help others, letting someone down,

Attributes: Kamashi uses an ancient katana named “Onikira” and a mystical, golden gauntlet called, the Slayer Gauntlet, in combat. He’s also quite skilled with his pistol, it’s bullets specialized for taking down Oni. His gauntlet is very durable, being very useful for punching, grabbing and throwing his enemies with it’s strength. It also contains several jewels that contain a different power that can help Kamashi in combat such as a basic magic attack (Green), Strength augmentation (Red), Holy energy (White), Superhuman Reflexes (Blue), Portals (Purple) And a still unknown power (Yellow). For now, he only has Green, Red, White and Blue.

Weapons: A katana named Onikira; a very durable, golden gauntlet with mystical gems named the Slayer Gauntlet; and an enchanted pistol.

Weaknesses: His headstrong personality often makes him reckless in battle. If he uses the power of the jewels (Primarily the power one) he’ll wear out quickly; the gems, despite their power, have somewhat of a cooldown period.

Background: Ever since he was a child, Kamashi could see Oni and spirits. Deep down, he knew he was different. On the night of his 16th birthday, he learned of his heritage as a Slayer, someone who maintains balance between the human world and Oni realm, after he saved his mother from a bunch of Oni. After that, she revealed the whole truth to him; about his heritage as a Slayer, and how his father was one before his disappearance. All his doubts about his strange visions finally resolved.

Determined to protect the human world and those he cares about, he embraces his destiny as a slayer, and defeat the Oni king like his ancestors before him.
